Central Jakarta PMI's Human Resource Chief, Syamsul Qomar, explained the event which was started since a week ago will be held up to next March in eight sub-districts. Up to Tuesday (2/27), there are 800 blood packages collected.

"Blood donor is not only provide direct benefits for recipients, but also a form of real contribution to the health and welfare of society," he said, Tuesday (2/27).

According to him, the availability of sufficient and quality blood is very crucial in supporting the health system. By becoming a blood donor, the community will play a direct role in maintaining blood stocks.

"Similar event will also be held in Kemayoran Sub-district, Cempaka Putih, Johar Baru, Tanah Abang, Gambir, Senen, Menteng, and Sawah Besar," he stated.

Tanah Abang Sub-district Vice, Dwiarti Indriani Utami, appreciated the Indonesian Stock Market participation in the event held in her area.

"It is hoped the event will increase blood stock," she stated.
